I so disagree with whoever that quote is attributed to! I like the mix from you and I think you have always done such a good job of balancing price points and quality and accessibility without diluting your style or your POV... I think so many of us are that way, investing in a quality sweater or pair of jeans or coat but also loving a score at Target!
I think it's totally relatable that you mix high end, quality pieces with more affordable high street brands and amazon finds! That's how all of my friends and I shop. We can afford to splurge on things here and there but don't have the budget to shop high end designer exclusively, especially these days when the cost of clothes, shoes, bags etc. can be downright offensive! Anyway...love that J.Crew dress! I am wearing the exact same one at work today. I wish I got it in white last year too!
I definitely appreciate you showing excitement over items in all price ranges as the higher priced items are a splurge and not an everyday purchase for me!!
Never change. Choosing both high and low end pieces makes you more relatable. And, as someone recently said (and I second), you are a girl’s girl and have earned the trust of your followers through honest reviews and kindness. ❤️
Amazon and Alaia is a great combo! I think there's nothing wrong with mixing in affordable pieces. My rule is that I have to love the piece and apply the same levels of discernment as I would to more expensive pieces - do I feel great in it? Can I wear it in multiple ways? Can I see myself wearing it next season?
Thank you for the Hunza bathing suit recommendation. I’ve been looking for a bathing suit that can handle some boobage and I’m going to try one of these.
I ordered two and they arrived today. I’m going to keep the Maya style as it has cross straps in the back so won’t slip off my shoulders. I really like it I might wear it to ballet class as well as swimming. Thanks again for the rec!
Thank you for sharing that little comment about your dress clinging to your belly. I just tried on a beautiful dress with vertical pleats and a striking print to show my daughter. She pointed out a very noticeable fabric imperfection in the front center of the dress. Turns out the imperfection was my belly poking through and disrupting both the lines of the pleats and the pattern! Oh well! Fortunately, the & Other Stories ruffled dress just arrived in the mail and does a beautiful job skimming over that area. Love the blend of high/low and your genuine appreciation of both too!
Hi Grace! I was the person who wrote that comment you referenced and I’m sorry to hear that it didn’t land the way I hoped it would. I think everyone’s closet is a mix of high-low! In this case I was writing about quality differences but that’s not to say that inexpensive things can’t be long-lasting or that expensive pieces will last forever!
I was wondering about the thickness of the fabric on the white sold out top. I already have a thicker white button down I can wear in winter (I'm in TX) but am looking for something thinner but not transparent/okay for work for summer. Thanks!
I truly do believe you love each item you share here and appreciate you staying true to yourself and style. I think the one thing I would challenge you to look more closely at is the impact that $20 synthetic fabric has on the environment. Knowledge is power.

thank you - the kindest comment.
Love high low style! It's great to see how you style the pieces together and gives the reader a more attainable range!
thanks!
The treats, discoveries & honestly I needed. p.s. would love a closet tour — the way you set is up is so good 😘
I will work on that!
I agree with mixing pieces of different price points when the quality is there. Makes it more fun! What size do you wear in the embroidered caftan?
thank you! wearing an 8 in this one!

it happens to us all. hugs! xx
Great week of fits! For the Alex Mill shirt dress, how thick is the material? Aka what level of undergarments are needed?
it's thin and slightly sheer in some light but not a biggie. At least for me, I don't really care! I wear a nude lace bra and nude briefs!
I have the same questions for the TWP next ex shirt. Do you have any of the striped ones? Or just the white?
it’s poplin so it’s slightly (slightly!). A nude bra is just fine. And yes I bought a striped one too. It’s great!
Thank you!!
Love this Gap × DÔEN dress! <3
such a gem!! Thank you!
