As a SoCal girl I think Legoland is super fun once in awhile! Go on a Sunday morning when they open- it’s still cool in Carlsbad and the crowds are minimal. Their models of places around the world beat the rides any day (and just lower your theme park bar for the food 😆).
Look up “Charlie’s Crab Gazpacho recipe” online. It is THE best. The secret ingredient is Wishbone Italian dressing, which sounds iffy but absolutely makes it. It’s what the restaurant now renamed Crab and Fin in Sarasota serves.
I love Legoland. Such an easy, fun amusement park. Highly recommend the water park as well - it’s right there embedded in the park. Aquarium is nice too but you can skip it with older kids / teens.
Also consider the SD Zoo Safari Park! Ratio of steps to animal sightings is super high 😅 but it’s beautiful and you can see really amazing habitats because of the size. There are safari trips you can add on to get closer to animals like rhinos, giraffes, lions etc.
This resonates so much with me -- I have been nonstop lately and just need some chill time! I love the idea of a summer bucket list balanced with fun stuff (I have a trip to Montana and a few weeks of lake time) and just enjoying the everyday. I got really into watercolor painting a few years ago, and I'd love to pick that back up along with photography to get out of my work brain and be creative! I'm going to make a list myself now!
My magic formula has been using Lolavie Glossing Detangler then the cream and just putting the front of my hair in a clip to dry with some volume. Super easy and ends up being pretty frizz free!
Ina Garten Gazpacho is great
Thank you!
For #20- NYT best gazpacho recipe is sooo good
Thank you! NYT Cooking never disappoints!!
Second this! So good!!!
Gazpacho recipe
This has been my go to gazpacho recipe for years that a friend shared. Yellow tomatoes are less acidic.
*6-8 medium yellow tomatoes, scored and blanched for 30 seconds or so to remove skins
*1 cucumber (I like English). Peel, quarter and remove seeds
*1/4 small Vidalia onion
*1 yellow bell pepper, cored
*1 clove garlic
*1/2 jalepeno pepper, seeds removed (more if you want spicy)
*1/4 cup EVOO or more to taste
*Champagne vinegar to taste (start with 3 TB)
*Salt and pepper to taste
*Blend together and pour through medium strainer (I don’t strain anymore)
*Chill for 4+ hours
*Reblend and serve
thank you so much for sharing!

Yes to slowing down and yes to chartreuse velvet!
hooray :) x
Great summer list! My hands-down favorite gazpacho recipe is Julia Moskin’s. It is very quick in the blender and is absolutely delicious. Gift link to NYT cooking recipe: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1017577-best-gazpacho?unlocked_article_code=1.M08.fdVj.IowTP4wbS6gD&smid=share-url

I love that! So glad — happy (slowed down!) summer!
I am a wavy/curly girl too and have yet to find an air dry product that controls frizz. Do you have a recommendation?
I’m still figuring it out but I like the crown affair leave in conditioner + air dry mousse a lot!!

Thank you for the rec!
Fenty Beauty “Homecurl” is the best product I’ve ever used! I have curls.
ooh thanks for the rec!
