Whenever I see someone doing / living / having something I want, I say *I love that for them*. Trust fund? Job at Chanel? A birkin in every color? I love that for them! I’ve found that when you say it enough, you start believing it! Oh, and not being on Instagram / TikTok probably helps 😅

I have to agree with the sentiment of moving to Charleston “fully baked”, my younger self would have struggled here. Great article Grace

Love this great. Agree with all the advice! I also have found that having friends outside of the influencer space has been so helpful 😆 everything is just so… public otherwise, and therefore easy to compare. Feel just more normal offline 👌🏻

omg yes. Or even just — keeping things off of the ‘gram. My favorite hangouts are the ones where no photos are taken.

loved this post. "rising tide lifts all ships" is my favorite motto being in the influencer space -- we gotta celebrate each others wins, help each other promote whatever big thing we're working on (you making the time to come to a lunch to celebrate my book!)... it all comes back around and makes it so much more fun and rewarding!

You articulate such TRUE THINGS. And you really live them. I saw you at “one” on a list of Substackers and felt myself cheering. It’s nice to see good people winning 😘

Wanted to follow up on my comment from last week - I started listening to Careless People on audiobook per your rec, and I literally cannot get enough! I totally agree with you that I am looking for every minute and excuse to listen - even making dinner when I was going to order takeout, so that's a win! The way you described it was perfect - reads like gossipy fiction, but it's true - at least it's her truth. It's SO GOOD and I'm so happy I'm only halfway through! Thank you!!!
