As I write this, I don't have any exciting travel plans or warm-weather getaways planned. A few of my girlfriends and I were toying around with a warm-weather adventure; I'm crossing my fingers and my toes that we can make that happen. Otherwise? Nada! Still, warm weather clothing is in my mind, and I don't worry too much about when I will wear my warm weather things as Spring in Charleston is very warm. In a month or two, my backyard will be its own little mini resort. But I'd still really love to go somewhere fun!
Also, Did you read this Marie Claire piece about the fisherman aesthetic? I'm into it.
On the jewelry front, I am most excited about shell pieces. I have felt this way for the past few years (see: 2023, 2024), so this is nothing new, but this year's shells do feel a little different from last year's. It's more clam shells and nautilus vs. scallop shells? I'm also very into fish motifs.
Below are some things I'm excited about, but I'll be wearing my Juju Vera necklace and earrings on repeat, as well as the Marissa Klass pendant I bought last year (it's perfect on my longer Sherman-Field Chain). I am really into longer necklaces (I always have been; they look better on me), and I'm glad there are so many good ones out there right now.
This fish necklace is just cool! It came in the mail over the weekend, and I've been having fun figuring out how I will style it.
These Johanna Ortiz shell + pearl earrings look insanely cool and special but are likely too heavy for my non-existent earlobes. If you don't have this problem, buy them!!!
Also, on the "somebody else get these" train, as I don't look good in silver, I these vintage silver Nautilus earrings. I like them better than the $520 version.
How amazing is this coral necklace? 1st Dibs has the coolest vintage jewelry. While we're there, I also love this spiral shell necklace and these YSL resin shell earrings (both from the 80s).
And from Etsy: this 90s vintage Givenchy choker, this enamel + goldtone shell pendant (Juju Vera vibes for way less?), this YSL chain necklace with shells from the 80s.
This super special gold-plated shell bracelet has just the right amount of boho.
Again, I don't wear much silver . . . but I adore these studs. They're on sale!
Crochet pieces in neutrals. I have seen so many interesting crochet tunics and dresses, but my top two are this crochet mini dress and this one from Sea, which I just pre-ordered. These types of dresses are so versatile and will easily transition between dinner and the beach.
Matching sets are always a good idea. I just got this cute one (top + shorts) from Mirth and love it. You can use GRACE15 for a discount at Mirth. It will look very cute with the fish necklace. I will probably treat myself to another set from Molli, but I am still deciding on that, as their pieces are more expensive.
I'm feeling fisherman's nets. You don't have to spend a lot of money here: this $16 3-pack of net bags is perfect. Longchamp's Le Pliage is a classic, and I like the idea of doing it in a more outlandish color, like lime green. This straw bag has similar fisherman vibes and is in my cart.
In non-net-related bags, I was also looking for something interesting to carry at night, and I love the pearlescent tiles on this Cult Gia bag. I carried it to a black tie event over the weekend and got so many compliments. Lastly, one affordable gem: this Target bag is fantastic!
A new swimsuit. Just one because I have a lot of swimwear. I am really loving the look of this black & white striped one-piece. Use GRACE15!
Feminine dresses. It is floral maxi madness down here in Charleston for good reason. It gets hot, and we need breezy options (but also length, as it gets so windy!). The options below fit that bill (climate-appropriate) without feeling like a Stepford wife. I try to use jewelry and shoes to keep the look feeling a little less precious.
I just ordered this embroidered T-shirt dress. It was a great price and per the above . . . shells!
This Cara Cara midi is in the prettiest green print.
The new Hill House drop is really good. I could have done way more damage but limited myself to just two pieces: this dress and this dress. I size down to a small in both.
This Loeffler Randall eyelet dress is the perfect LWD. I'd probably style it with a chunky necklace and my black dad sandals to keep it from getting too girly.
The cut of this Mashburn dress feels very "Charleston," but the tomato red liberty print makes it feel special and unique.
Pretty white pleats from Sea. This is gorgeous and definitely a bit Khaite-inspired.
For an event or party, this marbled satin dress is gorgeous and a great price.
This breezy maxi from LemLem.
This embroidered maxi is from Beau & Ro, a local Charleston shop.
A rainbow Tuckernuck dress that feels Missoni-adjacent.
On my feet:
Tuckernuck's new jelly sandals are super cute.
I just got (and really like!) these raffia platform fisherman sandals. They're giving Prada at a much better price.
I just got these Emme Parsons sandals, and they are everything I wanted in a sandal. Comfortable, elegant, special. Like jewelry for your feet.
Some things I want to try out.
Silky boxer pants from Comme Si. I love this pattern; a collab with Le Sirenuse!
How fun is this fringe skirt from Simon Miller? It's a little out of my comfort zone, but I ordered it last week. I see myself wearing it with a shorter white tee, a black bodysuit, or something neon yellow or chartreuse.
Things I can't wait to pull out:
My favorite strappy sandals from Loeffler Randall. They are that rare shoe that is wildly comfortable but also a little sexy. I wore them on Saturday night and danced all night!
My many Stylest one-piece swimsuits. These are the best. They have shaping panels but look very chic and are still comfortable. I have four and feel so good in them. (I told you I have a lot of swimwear!) I am extremely tempted by the yellow.
A pair of lime satin green Prada slides that I bought at the end of last summer -- I can't find a photo or link anywhere, but they are amazing, and they came at the tail end of the season and barely got any wear.
Kaftans, always. Any of my La Vie Style House pieces are always a favorite.
All of my "dad" sandals. I bought a gold pair from Chanel four years ago and a black pair from The Row two years ago, and they remain my favorite weather sandals.

Grace, it's good to prepare for springtime in advance! As for me, I like to wear floral maxi dresses with denim jackets! Comfy and classic!
Hi Grace isn't it funny how different cultures and superstitions color our view on a given trend? In my own beautiful Caribbean beachy country ( Venezuela) wearing or decorating one's house with anything fishy or related to the sea, like shells or corals-- with the exception of pearl jewelry --is considered super bad "joss" bad luck🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼. If we rented a Summer vacation condo in Florida. we would shudder at the profusion of said decorations, proceeding to hide them in closets.
Different strokes for different folks.
Like we'd never put our bag on the floor, 'cause the 💸💸💸💸 would fly away😆
