The Saturday Group Text, #74
A very good eye cream, a cool collaboration to know, several sales, TV + movie recs, and more
Hi there! I hope your weekend is off to a great start. I stayed home last night and watched the new Meghan Markle show with the cats. It was fine. I don’t have major opinions, good or bad. However, it did make me feel extremely unproductive as she and her guest made approximately seventy-five things as I layed on the couch with Tyrion.
Weekend Reading is up on the blog. It’s a great list (if I do say so myself). After two months, a woman is reunited (post California wildfires!) with her beloved cat. A big list of the best movies from the past 25 years. The White Lotus’s $1 million in jewelry (omg). Why introverts should (sometimes!) act like extroverts. How to be more assertive. 6 new TV shows to watch. Spring’s best books. Coq au Vin meatballs! A few really dreamy homes. Shopping finds. Madewell sale picks. And more.
This one gets a little long! Click through to Substack to read the whole thing. And if you are feeling nice, give it a heart. <3
I hope you have the best weekend.
Hart’s New Gemstone Necklaces
HART just launched some incredible gemstone necklaces that give Irene Neuwirth’s candy necklaces a run for their money (at a fraction of the price). My friend Curry (Hart’s sister and CEO of HART) was wearing this insanely pretty blue opal necklace at the Charleston Design Week kickoff party on Thursday'; it was even more stunning in person. Cue me going home and ordering this + this after a couple of cocktails. Oops. Not really an “oops,” though . . . I know I’ll be wearing them all summer long.
Speaking of good jewelry at that party, my friend Jackie was wearing this shell necklace from Theodosia (another awesome Charleston jewelry brand). I thought it was Marissa Klass.
(And one last jewelry thing: 25% off my BaubleBar favorites!)
Sarah Creal’s Brilliant Repair Shield
Consider me a Sarah Creal evangelist. Everything I’ve tried, I’ve absolutely loved. My newest obsession is her Brilliant Repair Shield, which is kind of an illuminator meets SPF meets skin tint. It’s kind of like if you took Weekend Skin and Glow Screen and mixed them together (something I’ve done frequently). I don’t love wearing makeup unless I’ve got a shoot or an event so this has been my go-to for just a bit of coverage and glow (and most importantly, SPF protection!). I wear the lighter shade, staycation!
Joyce Lee x World of Crow
You probably know and her gorgeous substack , but if you are not — it’s a favorite of mine. Joyce is a creative consultant based in New York, but before that, she was Madewell's SVP of Design of women's apparel and accessories.
And now she has teamed up with World of Crow on a beautiful collection for women and children, featuring fabrics that were handcrafted in India. All are responsibly and ethically made, and I was happy to see that the pieces go up to a 3X. The whole line is beautiful, but my personal favorite is the dot skirt.
I had been waiting for this! By now, you know how much I love INNBEAUTY’s Extreme Cream (it’s the next best thing to The Rich Cream, for $50). I was thrilled when the brand launched its Extreme Cream Eye! All the same hydrating and anti-aging benefits plus firming and contouring. You are going to love this one, I promise. You can take 20% off purchases of $100 or more at INNBEAUTY with GRACE20.
Scamanda (Hulu): I have been watching this before bed a little bit, and it is a wild ride (a young woman pretends to have cancer and cons the world for hundreds of thousands of dollars). I am watching this loosely, mostly as a background show, but I am hooked.
A Complete Unknown (rented on Apple): I finally watched this now that it is streaming. I absolutely loved it, mostly for New York in the sixties, but Timothée Chalamet and Elle Fanning both gave great performances.
The current TV rotation is Surface and The White Lotus. What else should I be watching!?
I got new pajamas from Lake (these!) and love them so much. It’s getting warmer here, and these are very cooling.
Shopbop Hearts are up to date. Loads of cute separates and Spring accessories this week. And dresses as always, ha.
I had been curious about Left on Friday’s swimsuits for a while. (They just launched thongs, which made me think that the brand wasn’t for me — lol!). That being said, both of the one pieces (this and this) I got are perfect. Super comfortable, they stay in place, the colors and cuts are great.
Flewd made us a code. You know I love their soaks. GRACE20 for 20% off first-time purchases.
Veronica Beard is having a sale. Use code FAVORITES2025. I have this striped cashmere polo and love it (size up!).
Donni launched Spring part II. I bought this chartreuse t-shirt.
If you are in the market for new workout wear I love these leggings from Aerie (and they are under $50). They really do lift. There is a matching bra top and I also got these striped athletic socks.
ICYMI - I am adding a little extra content beyond the paywall each week.
