I hope your long weekend looks something like this!

Oh man. I did the thing I literally have stress dreams about. I accidentally published my draft of this post on Thursday. Once it’s out in the email ether, nothing can be done. So, you got a sneak peek. Here’s the real one. My apologies - I’ve been a little off my game this week.

Happy long weekend (and unofficial start of summer!). I am in the middle of Spoleto fun, which is the best — my favorite time to be in Charleston. I had the opening night gala on Thursday and then a party last night. It didn’t start until 10 p.m. (I am usually fast asleep by ten). Who am I!?

Weekend Reading is up on the blog. There are a ton of interesting reads this week; perfect for savoring throughout the 3-day weekend! A thoughtful piece about comparison (and the things we give up for success). The NY Times’ guide to summer’s best books. Summer’s best movies, plus really good TV (Overcompensating, Sirenes). All about the protein craze. Architectural destinations for design lovers. WTF are exosomes!? Two gorgeous home tours: one minimalist, one maximalist. The best healthy snacks. And loads more. Enjoy!!!

PS - this one gets a little long! Click through to Substack to read the whole thing. And if you are feeling nice, give it a heart; it helps with the algorithm. <3

Sezane Beaded Necklace

I bought this necklace last year but still reach for it quite a bit. I wore mine to the Sezane store opening on Wednesday and remembered a) how much I love it and b) that it’s under $100. While at the party, I saw it in a few other colors and loved the hazelnut + vintage blue! (Mine is the green, by the way. It’s greener in person, but the light in my home has it reading more blue.)

Protein Snack Mix!

I have been really focused on eating clean, so haven’t posted as many snacks as usual… but this is a good one! Catalina makes a snack mix that tastes like Chex Mix but is packed with protein. I LOVE it. The creamy ranch is my favorite (Cool Ranch Doritos vibes), but I also love the cheddar and honey mustard. Each serving has 10 grams of protein and only one gram of sugar. Be prepared to get addicted.

Tory Burch x BonBon Candy

When I lived in New York, BonBon Candy was my weakness. It was (and still is) the absolute best sour candy. I dreamed of the strawberry skulls. I was so excited to see that they teamed up with Tory Burch. It’s a creative, unexpected choice for Tory (and one I wholeheartedly support!). You can view the collaboration here and get the candy here. My favorites from the collection are this lime green bag, these candy pink dad sandals (the banana yellow too!), and this super fun charm bracelet.

An Easy At-Home Manicure.

Apparently, “soap nails” are this season’s big trend. It’s just a really clean, fresh manicure. Not actually a trend, but I feel trendy calling my simple manicure “soap nails.” My friend

MALLY K. GOLDMAN
posted about this pale pink polish and I ordered it immediately — she has the best recs! My usual nail spot went out of business, and haven’t had time to find a new spot. This is the perfect interim solution (ignore my cuticles, they aren’t great, I’m doing my best!). This is something easy and pretty that I can do in the interim—it doesn't streak, which is key). I apply three coats and then a coat of this top coat. Easy breezy. Not perfect, but a big improvement.

We rounded up the best MDW sales earlier this week, but there are even more. I’ve updated the main post with these, but wanted to list what is new here:

  • American Eagle—The whole site is 30-40% off! I love this button-up dress, and the price is amazing. Also, don’t sleep on their occasion dresses for some very cute, affordable options. I love this ruffled slip dress.

  • Vitamin A—Their Memorial Day sale includes so much cute swimwear (and coverups)! I have this kaftan and this orange button-up shirt, and I really love this white swimsuit and this orange one-piece.

  • Caron Callahan — Take an extra 20% off sale styles with code SUMMERPLANS. I love this polished take on a denim jacket and I have + love this striped tee.

  • Boden — Take 30% off everything.

  • HigherDOSE — Take 20% off sitewide with MDW2025. My personal favorites are my infrared sauna blanket and this magnesium soak.

  • Rothy’s is running 30% off everything. World’s most comfy clogs.

  • Madewell — Take 25% off everything, and 40% off sale styles. My picks: woven flats, a pretty puff sleeve dress, embellished mary-janes.

  • Rothy’s is running 30% off everything. World’s most comfy clogs.

  • EBY—Take up to 25% off sitewide. The “relief bra” is exactly that: relief! It’s underwire-free, supportive, and comfy. I also love the brand’s sheer mesh bralettes—comfy but very pretty. How gorgeous is this matching set?

  • Soft Services — Take 10% off sitewide when you spend $50. This is their only sitewide sale of the year until Black Friday. You know I love Theraplush! No code, applies automatically at checkout.

  • Emme Parsons—A mid-season sale with 30% off. I have these beautiful low-heeled sandals and love them. My other fave is included: the Bari pool slide. These are the best easy sandals and kept selling out last year!

  • Rebecca Taylor - Take 40% off select items with code RTLOVE

  • Mille - Take 30% off select items with MEMDAY25 at checkout.

  • Necessaire — Take 20% off sitewide. This set is a great idea — my favorite Eucalyptus and the best acid deodorant, all bundled together.

  • SIMONMILLER — Take 25% off current sale styles with code SIMONSAYSSUMMER

  • Frame — Sale on sale! Take 30% off current sale styles (no code needed, the additional discount shows up in your cart). Ends 5/26

  • Flamingo Estate — They never do sales! Take 20% off bath & body products. This includes their iconic tomato collection. The hand soap is a fave hostess gift. Use code TRYSOMETHINGNEW.

  • Joe’s Jeans - take 30% off! I just got this dress and love it! I also like these shorts a lot.

final destination: so over the top gory that you just have to laugh?

The usual roster! Your Friends & Neighbors, Hacks, and The Studio.

My friends and I went to see the new Final Destination Bloodlines movie (in theaters). This was not my choice, but it was fun. Gory and almost funny? I do love a horror movie on the big screen. This isn’t great cinema, but it’s an entertaining night out with friends.

I started watching Sirens yesterday and am into it so far!! Darkly funny.

  • Not surprisingly, I am very into the new Staud x Birkenstock collab.

  • The new Hill House summer styles are fabulous. I snagged this swimsuit, this mini dress, and this daisy crochet dress (I plan to wear it as a coverup)

  • Dôen also had a delicious new drop. I snagged this yellow mini (love the scarf belt)and this sheer green midi.

  • I’ve updated my codes page with new codes from Zoë Chicco, Flewd Bath Soaks, Janessa Leone, Cleobella, and Joe’s Jeans.

  • Shopbop Hearts are updated. Lots of spring fun!

  • This is so fun! One of my favorite local artists, Lia Burke Libaire, created these sticker sheets. I ordered a few sheets and will put them on everything—notecards, care packages, etc.!

  • Quince did an excellent job with this woven crossbody. It’s like Bottega and Loewe had a baby.

ICYMI - I am adding a little extra content beyond the paywall each week.

What’s below:

  • This week’s high + low

  • A fifth find!

  • Substack articles from fellow publishers that I enjoyed!
