Everyday Skincare Favorites
Augustinus Bader, The Rich Cream. Sure, I am a broken record about this moisturizer! It is pricy, but IMO, it is worth every penny. I’ve been loyal to this moisturizer since 2017 and use it every day. It’s amazingly hydrating, perfect for dry skin girls (my skin is so dry!).
INNBeauty Extreme Cream. This $48 moisturizer is the next best thing to Bader. It’s super rich and creamy, ultra hydrating, and makes you glow!
Clarins Double Serum. Another forever favorite! This serum does just about everything. It hydrates, it brightens, and noticeably smoothes. One of my absolute favorite serums (and it works really well underneath The Rich Cream or Extreme Cream)
Biossance 2% BHA Toner. My favorite toner! This gently exfoliates and prepares the skin for moisturizer. I’ve noticed a really big difference in the texture of my skin since adding this step.
Biossance Lactic Acid Serum. I love this and try to use it twice a week. It’s one of those few products that you see a difference in overnight. It’s really helped me with some rough texture issues. It also really brightens up the skin.
Elemis Cleansing Balm. This is just the best. The smell is like a spa in a jar. It gets off all my makeup and leaves my skin silky and hydrated. I’ve gone through countless jars over the years.
Elemis Creamy Enzyme Cleanser. This product is genius. It’s super creamy and hydrating, but the enzyme formula also gently exfoliates. I really love to use this after the cleansing balm. A perfect double-cleansing duo.
Augustinus Bader Lash Serum. Admittedly, I have not been as good as usual about using this, but it really works. I like that it’s gentler on the eye area than other lash serums like GrandeLash. During the warmer months, I try to be very disciplined about using a lash serum daily and getting my lashes tinted!
Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen is my absolute favorite sunscreen. I’ll buy three or four tubes during this sale. I wear this every day and love the lightweight, silky formula. I haven’t found anything I like quite as much.
Bodycare Favorites
I’ve included two deodorants as I really love them both. First is Nécessaire’s acid deodorant. I love that this is clear, I love the eucalyptus scent, and the acid formula really does a great job killing odor-causing bacteria. The second is Glossier’s Orange Blossom Neroli. This one just smells incredible (it’s also very effective for the whole day).
Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream. I cannot get enough of this moisturizer. It smells heavenly (like salted caramel pistachio goodness) and helps to firm the skin. I am a huge fan and go through several jars a year.
Kate McLeod Daily Stone. Another body moisturizer, this one makes it into a special ritual. The original Daily Stone is my favorite scent, as it smells like the spa (neroli, rose, frankincense). This is luxuriously hydrating, perfect for those with super dry skin (me!!).
Kate McLeod Dry Brush. I love how dry brushing makes my skin and body feel. It exfoliates and stimulates lymphatic drainage. Over time, I have seen smoother skin and a reduction in cellulite.
Soft Services Theraplush is my bedtime essential! I always lament how old my hands look, and this has made a noticeable improvement. Plus, the jar is beautiful and doubles as a ring dish at night.
Nécessaire Eucalyptus Body Wash. The classic. I have this in both of my bathrooms. It’s just a wonderful body wash, and I love the scent.
Nécessaire Body Lotion. Another classic. And yes, it may be insane to include three body moisturizers as “essentials,” but they all are. I love this one when I don’t want a fragrance. It has skincare-grade ingredients like niacinamide, which I love. It helps to strengthen the skin’s barrier.
Makeup!
Sarah Creal Concealer. Lately, I’ve been skipping full-face makeup and just using this. My shade is 3 (light neutral). It’s formulated for 40+ skin. It doesn’t crease or settle into fine lines; it just melts into your skin while concealing any flaws.
Sarah Creal Complexion Brush. You know I’m not one to always buy the brush, but in this case, buy the brush! It works wonders with the concealer, ensuring a smooth and flawless application.
Saie Luminizer. This is an essential. You can mix it with your makeup, put it under makeup, use it as a highlighter, or mix it with your moisturizer and skip makeup. It’s a tried and true favorite because it is so versatile!
Iris & Romeo Weekend Skin is another essential. It has everything you need: a hint of coverage, SPF, vitamin C . . . Easy, breezy—you’re done!
Sarah Creal Lipstick is one of my favorite lipsticks, and the colors are really wearable. My favorites are Pink Tax and She.E.O.
Ami Cole Mascara. I love this. It’s perfect for everyday use, but you can also build it for a more dramatic look. It gives long, glossy lashes without any flaking.
Benefit Highlighter. A classic. The best powder highlighter I’ve used.
Ilia Eye Palette. If you love bronzy neutral eyes, you will love this. It’s a rare palette where you will use every color. I like to dip my brush in water for a wet application. The metallic shades look positively molten!
Sarah Creal Brilliant Repair Facial Shield—I recently fell in love with it. It is very similar to Weekend Skin in that it protects and adds a bit of coverage, but this one has an illuminated formula, so it really makes you glow.
Pampering
Clarins Depuffing Mask. This one gets me every time. I will never be over how well it depuffs my face before a shoot, or after a night of martinis. It’s magic.
Kate McLeod Breathe Pebbles are the best. They smell amazing and are so hydrating. I drop two in the bath, soak for twenty minutes, and can usually skip body lotion afterward.
Therabody Depuffing Wand. This is another depuffing essential. The wand is crafted perfectly to work the jaw, cheekbones, and smaller areas like the undereye area. For extra credit, use it over a gel eye mask (maybe the Topicals?).
Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask: This is an OG favorite. It brightens, tightens, and makes you glow. It's perfect a few hours before an event.
Shani Darden Nourishing Mask. Nothing is better for dry, stressed-out skin! Sometimes, I paint on a thin layer and sleep in it.
Dr. Dennis Gross Facial Steamer: This is the fastest way to turn your home into a spa. I absolutely love this. It’s very relaxing and also does a great job opening up your pores (perfect before applying a mask!). I use mine while watching TV.
HigherDose Seratonin Soak. This soak is magic on sore muscles; it’s super rich in magnesium. I swear it also gives me a little mood boost!
Topicals Eye Masks. These eye masks are so effective. They are the first under-eye mask that I’ve tried that really helps to brighten up dark circles. Keep them in the fridge and they will depuff as well!
My Favorite Newness
Ilia Eye Shadow Sticks. These are incredible, especially the metallics. Divine, gilded, and brocade are my favorites. They have a molten metallic shine that lasts all day. You can blend them in for a more subtle look or build them up for a full-on dramatic eye.
Merit Blush. A really pretty blush that stays put all day!
Phlur Vanilla Smoke. This body mist is right up my alley. It’s the perfect combination of gourmand vanilla and sexy fireplace. I love it, and it is a great price.
Refy Brow Pomade is hands down my favorite brow product at the moment (beating out Air Brow, which you know was a forever fave!). It sculpts and shapes my brows, giving them a slightly laminated look.
Westman Atelier Bronzing Drops. I did not expect to live these as much as I do, but they are fab. Really easy to blend into bare skin or makeup, and very natural. You look like you had a weekend away. I wear the lightest shade.
Makeup by Mario Eye Palette. I absolutely love this palette anytime I want to play up my eyes. It has a nice mix of everyday shades, metallics, and deeper hues that you can use as a liner.
Urban Decay Highlighter. This is super pretty, but what I love most about it is the wear. I am pretty sure you could wear it to the beach or pool and it wouldn’t budge. It stays on all day and all night.
Refy Lip Gloss. Refy is definitely a brand to watch. I’ve loved most of what I’ve tried. This nourishes and plumps without any stickiness. Rosewood is my fave.
Loving these recs! I've been getting into Sarah Creal too...
So now my cart is STACKED! You always give the best recommendations, Grace!
