Hi friends. We are back with this month’s “unfiltered” post. This one is just for paid subscribers.

In this newsletter:

  • First (as always!) I chose one lucky subscriber and will be sending them some happy mail.

  • A tough business decision I made last week, and my thinking/rationale behind it.

Quick refresher: Every month, I choose one paid subscriber (US or Canada-based) and send them a little treat. This month’s is a big box of beauty goodies. It’s a good one. I had extras of so many things. An Athena razor + shave oil. La Mer’s face oil. Hanni’s Fatty Stick and Serum Stone. Clarins lip oils, Merit’s mascara, a full-size Extreme Cream, Bioderma Micellar Water, a BaubleBar necklace that I had two of, and makeup from Jones Road + Beauty Pie. Congratulations to Sarah Shomaker; this month’s winner. I hope you enjoy all of the goodies!

A n y w a y s . This week, I made the very difficult decision to shut down my Facebook group.

Becca Freeman
told me I should make the headline of this letter, “I literally talk about this group in therapy!” but I did not. That statement is 100% accurate, but the whole ordeal still feels too soon to joke about.

Many loved the group, and I certainly don’t expect everyone to understand my decision. Unless you’ve moderated a large online community like this, it’s probably hard to relate to what would be so difficult and time-consuming or why it would be a big deal.
