For today’s paid letter, I wanted to talk about some small businesses I’ve been loving. The first two are free! <3

(more small businesses I love in this post!)

My Father’s Daughter

Tess Ramirez creates beautiful original artwork on hotel stationery. (She does prints too, FYI!) As someone who loves hotels (and collects the little notepads and stationery), I find this super fun. The best thing to do is sign up for her email list, as new work goes fast. (I am not one to gatekeep, but I feel nervous sharing her; it is a bit of a sport!). I was lucky enough to snag the above Beverly Hills Hotel piece; I hope to snag something Bemelman’s/The Carlyle at some point. Patience!!!

From the Tree

This is an Etsy shop, based in the UK (so be forewarned, shipping does take a little while!). I bought this tiny dyed birch bur box and just found it. . . mesmerizing. I could look at it all day. The way that the wood is dyed green (it looks like stone) and how smooth it is… it is hard to describe how much I love this little box! It’s really really special. The artist actually has a pretty massive Instagram following!
