The things I loved most this month

Think of this as a mini-editor’s letter: what I loved most this month.

1. A perfect dress. I bought this dress and feel like it could have been made for me. The cut is perfection, the color is divine . . . it’s just a really great dress. I don’t have any plans for where I will wear it (yet), but I tend to buy the dress and wait for the plans to show up! ;) Note that it is much longer in person than on the model. I am 5’8, and it hits me at the ankle! More sizes here + here.

2. Dorsey Oval Cut Eternity Band. I have always loved oval diamonds (they just feel so unique and special vs. round or square), and this ring is an absolute stunner. I can’t stop looking at it. It’s perfect. (It stacks surprisingly well with this one!)

3. The Friday Afternoon Club by Griffin Dunne is my current Audible listen. Griffin Dunne is most notably the nephew of Joan Didion, but his whole family is pretty fantastic. The stories are incredible, and it’s been such a fun listen.

4. Yaitte Pajamas. Yaitte is a London-based label that focuses on high-quality, timeless pieces (that are also consciously sourced and sustainably made). They generously gifted me these pajamas, and I love them so much. The quality is A++, and the cut is really good.

5. Rachel Comey Sweatshirt. I am a little bit embarrassed by how often I reach for this sweatshirt. It is so comfortable, with the best drop-shoulder fit. And I really love mint green right now! It’s equally perfect at the gym or snuggling up at home.

6. Flamingo Subscription Box. I love Flamingo Estate. Their products (especially the candles and kitchen treats) are beautifully made. I treated myself to the yearly subscription. The first box came, and it was absolutely magical to open. The lavender candle, the body wash, and lotion . . . the smoky salt!

7. Annex Ceramic Candles. These candles were my best-selling item for the whole month (at least so far), and for good reason. They are beautiful, smell amazing, and burn very well (especially for an inexpensive candle!). And they look a lot like the Loewe candle. I purchased five. So far, I like the orange blossom best.

8. Apiece Apart Cardigan. I had been patiently waiting for this to be restocked! It is a genius piece. It’s cut like a regular cardigan but with one extra button further to the side. You could wear it open for a more traditional look, but it’s best worn as pictured—it has the coolest cinched effect. I bought it and love the red, but I want more colors. 9. U Beauty’s new fragrance, Proem. This fragrance. Wow. Every time I smell it, I like it more. The notes I smell most are rose and lychee, but the fragrance goes beyond your typical fruity floral . . . it’s more complex than that. It’s got an earthy but sexy side, thanks to the vetiver and peppercorn notes. I really love it.

10. Marella Agnelli, The Last Swan. A girlfriend got me this book for Christmas (I am a little bit obsessed with Capote’s swans), and it’s sat on my coffee table all month. Agnelli was an Italian noblewoman, art collector, socialite, and style icon. I get so much inspiration paging through this book: her style was absolutely legendary.

11. Madewell Jeans. I have been telling all of my friends to buy these jeans! They are my favorite pair of denim at the moment. A long straight leg, a wash that could be vintage . . . they’re the best sort of classic.

12. Lands End Sheets. So many people have raved about these sheets (this may not be new info!), but wow, these sheets are fantastic. They have a fancy hotel-like feel, and they come out of the dryer (and stay) completely wrinkle-free. I’ve never been one to iron my sheets, but these feel as though they were professionally ironed. 

13. Victoria Beckham Lip Gloss in Bungalow. This was gifted, and it is randomly exactly what I needed. It’s neutral, but this shade of pink (at least for my skin tone!) perks my whole face up. Add to that—a hydrating formula that isn’t at all sticky. It’s all I want to wear on my lips lately.
