The Saturday Group Text, #53
Really good loafers, the best Target purchase ever, my desk tour, a pretty hair accessory, I love you Adam Brody!
Hi!
Weekend Reading is up on the blog. Also, a quick little housekeeping thing. Yesterday, Substack accidentally paywalled all of my content. I am so sorry. I don’t know how/why this happened; they didn’t really give me any answers other than to say it’s been fixed. People got mad! I am truly so sorry. And frustrated.
Anyway, this week’s list! How to persuade someone to vote. How to help the victims of Hurricane Helene. A few swoon-worthy home tours. Shopping finds. Visiting the Northern Lights (on my bucket list). The best books of the year so far. And more. Enjoy!
PS—My sale ends tomorrow. Take 30% off a one-year paid subscription. I don’t plan on doing this again anytime soon.
Really good loafers
These Freda Salvador loafers are just stunning. I love them so much. I wore mine to Mary’s event on Thursday and was struck by how comfortable they were (my first time wearing them — with socks!). They’re true to size and just beautiful in person. You can use code GRACE15 for a discount.
My Desk Tour!
I am a massive fan of , and her Substack. In particular, I never miss her “Desk Tour” series. It’s fun to get a peek into how other writers work. Naturally, I was thrilled to be asked to participate. You can read my feature here. Thanks, Olivia!
The Target Snake Candlesticks in Action!
This is really just a follow-up to last week’s letter: I just need you to know how great the Target candlesticks are! I love them! I got two singles and two doubles, and they are gorgeous (and at such a great price).
Malachite Hair Accessories
I’ve been a fan of Lelet (such a fun brand!) for a while now, and when I saw these malachite (inspired) hair accessories, I placed an order immediately. I bought this double-arch hair tie, but there is also a single-arch hair tie and a pretty barrette. It's a nice way to add some polish to an everyday ponytail.
Wolfs (Apple TV) - This was the new crime thriller with Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Two “fixers” show up at a crime scene and must work together. Chaos transpires. It was only medium, but it felt like being reunited with my friends Brad and George, so I happily watched it.
Monsters (Netflix) - My guy and I gobbled up the entire Menendez Brothers season last weekend. It was wild and very upsetting. I loved that the way they filmed, it made it feel a little open-ended.
Nobody Wants This (Netflix) - I didn’t want to love this, but all-caps LOVED it. It's the best thing I’ve watched in ages. Kristen Bell is an agnostic sex podcaster; Adam Brody is a rabbi. The two meet, and sparks fly. I am seriously considering watching it again because I loved it so much. My boyfriend loved it too. We accidentally stayed up until 1am watching, laughing out loud the whole time. (And yes, like every other woman my age… my crush on Brody is massive).
PS - Fun Vogue article. Also, the real-life story!
Did you see all the press about ’s new letter, ? I signed up as a paid subscriber immediately and am excited to see what she does. You can read the exclusive right this way.
When I saw my bestie in New York, she was wearing these amazing Chloe flats. I couldn’t stop staring at them, so I copied them (with her permission).
My friend Mary’s collection with Addison Bay inspired my trip to New York. The pieces are great. These pants look very similar to the High Sport long pants, and I love this happy pullover. I will say that the pants are very, very long. I am 5’8 "and wore the medium, and they felt long on me!
Shopbop Hearts are updated. <3
Nobody Wants This is one of the only shows I’ve seen with single characters in their 30s (40s?) where there aren’t lengthy rants about how delayed they are, “clock is ticking!”, “something must be wrong with me,” etc., and also showing them having strong friendships with peers who are married and the kids in their lives. Very refreshing and accurate for my group of Millennial friends living in a city.
Does anyone complain how your taste makes them broke?! Hahah JK. But def just ordered the candle sticks and Erin Foster is an fn genius w the new show. Looooooove it
