The Saturday Group Text, #30
Personalized book recs, chic slides, extremely soft pants, and more.
Hello Saturday. Weekend reads are up on the blog. It’s a great list. Bazaar had a fantastic roundup of beach reads. There is the most enormous first class airline “seat” I’ve ever seen. A sunny yellow kitchen that manages to also be cool and sophisticated. The best romcoms to watch right now. A great interview with our queen (Emily Henry). A “martini tour” of New York City. And so much more. Head on over to the blog to read it. I so enjoy pulling these lists together.
Have the best weekend!
Barefoot Dreams Pants
Maybe my sweatpant induced PTSD from the pandemic is fading, as I’ve been the happiest just cozying up at home in these fuzzy soft pants that feel a lot like wearing a blanket. But also: did you know Barefoot Dreams even makes pants? This was new information to me; information that makes me very happy. Buy a pair, get very cozy, thank me later. Grey (I have these!), cream, mauve.
I wish I could remember where I saw this neck massager recommended but it was reviewed with so much gusto that I paused what I was doing to order on the spot. That was the right move. This thing is… intense! It gets into the really tight spots of my neck and traps for instant relief. It is almost too intense at times which I like as a lot of these types of massagers don’t do enough. It might quite possibly be the best way you could spend $50. I LOVE mine.
These are the best little slides! I love mine so much. The red is only available in a couple sizes, but the black is available in all sizes. There is also some really beautiful metallics (silver, gold, python!). If you are between sizes, size down… I’m an 8.5/39 and the 8 fits me perfectly. I hope they release more colors as I really like these.
If you’ve followed a while, you know the majority of my family are big readers! My aunt passed this along to me and I thought it was brilliant (plus a great way to support an independent bookseller). I had to share it with you! RJ Julia is an amazing independent book store in Madison. CT. My aunt goes whenever she is in the area; they are specifically known for providing spot-on book recs.
They have a subscription service which would be a great gift (Mother’s Day?). You fill out a reading profile and select the frequency and subscription type. From there, they send you personalized books based on your likes: genre, author etc. Fun!
What I Watched This Week:
It was a very social week so I did not watch as much TV as usual but over the weekend I did binge the entire first season of Reasonable Doubt (Hulu!). It is a legal thriller produced and directed by Kerry Washington, starring Emayatzy Corinealdi, and it is excellent. Smart, fast-paced, and a little bit steamy. I cannot wait for season 2. (Thank you Lynn for the rec!)
And I just started Fallout on Amazon Prime last night. It’s going in a sci-fi, post-apocalyptic vibe. Right up my alley; I’m liking it so far!
The red slides are in stock in some sizes! Plus they are available in silver, gold, and snake (in addition to black & red) - but are excluded from promos.
just popping in to say how much i love Bin 152. I have the fondest memories from a girls trip over orange wine and soft stinky cheese!
