Hi! How is your week going? Yesterday and today were quite busy. It’s good to be back in a groove after a slower summer but my body isn’t quite used to it!
I have back-to-back shoot days to film a few sponsored projects, plus my regular unsponsored reels. I’m doing a Substack live tomorrow night with my buddy (I have no idea how this works, but I will share more when I know it)! Other than that, fun stuff. My sister and I went out for a special dinner last night and Friday is one of my best friends’ birthdays. I am attempting to make Alison Roman’s coconut cake from her desserts cookbook (my god it looks GOOD); wish me luck!
I'm back with some outfits today, and there are quite a few of them! It's been great to wear my favorite jeans again and experiment with fall clothes and accessories. They feel like a breath of fresh air!
PS - this email gets too long, so click through to Substack to read it!
PS—Blank made us a code! My jeans above (which I love!) are already under $100. Use code GRACE15.
PPPS—The Tuckernuck Friends & Family Sale started yesterday. Take up to 30% off! So many of my faves are included. Some pieces I have and love are this top (seen twice in this roundup), this dress (I wore it to dinner last night), and this super fun feather dress. I’m still figuring out my own order, but I will share what I get on stories!
A fun party for my friends’ new company Sipland + dinner after! I love this dress! And the most comfortable dainty heels.
Just a cozy WFH day. You can use GRACE15 for 15% off these pants.
What I wore to watch football (I mean eat a buffalo chicken wrap and talk!). I actually love football culture. The snacks and friend time are the best. (I couldn’t have told you who was playing though).
So many people asked me about my bag. I love it. Khaite.
This is what I wore to an event at my friend Molly’s house for ’s new cookbook.
I am a huge fan of Caro and her recipes and actually moved my NY trip around to be in Charleston for it. She’s exactly how you’d imagine: warm, funny, charming, kind… just an all-around awesome person. I am even more obsessed with her than I was before, if that is possible.
I have been getting a lot of wear out of this Lie Studio necklace.
Traveling up to NY!
This is what I wore to speak on a panel with Vogue + ShopMy. It was a fantastic night, and I felt like my best, most professional self in this outfit.
Everyday jewelry favorites: Dorsey earrings, Sherman-Field necklace, Dorsey Moss necklace (18”) Sherman-Field bracelet, Dorsey lab grown diamond bracelet (love the 2.5mm stones)
A friend messaged me “hipster Grace” which made me laugh because I think Charleston and New York have very different definitions of what a hipster would wear. I mean, I am wearing ballet flats and Nili! Again with the Shon pants, go down two sizes. I am not a size 4 ever but that’s what I’m wearing here.
The Khaite bag was the perfect travel companion for New York, especially while running around the city. My sunglasses are extremely old Celine.
Being vulnerable for a sec: This photo exemplifies what I find to be so hard about the current denim styles: I just look… wide! And that is okay—I am trying to train my brain that it isn’t about looking smaller, but there’s a lot of ingrained stuff in my head that tells me I look bad, this is the wrong thing to wear, etc.
I love these jeans. Shopbop let me choose a pair for fall (I’m part of their influencer program), and I picked these. I didn’t realize how expensive they were. They are very cute but more than I would have spent.
Quarter socks are such an easy way to upgrade from no-shows. It’s literally just an couple inches of fabric.
This is a bad photo but I was at a friend’s party and didn’t take any others. But I love my dress!
This was just a casual day of working from home. A word about this tee: It doesn’t look like much in the photo, but it is heavenly! It’s (gifted) from a new-to-me brand, OZMA. It’s made from 100% silk, and it is so soft and just feels amazing against my skin. It’s meant to be big, so I took my usual medium (and didn’t want to take it off).
(you can take 15% off my shorts with code GRACE15)
I got these jeans from Sezane last year and highly recommend them; they are perfect. I’m so glad they still make this cut. I do recommend sizing up, for me I find I always need to go up one, sometimes even two sizes in their denim. I went up one size in these and they’re fab. And this is the cutest $20 top!
That’s all for now. Have a great rest of your week! xx
I feel you on the width of the jeans and the overall wider silhouette. That’s why I will never let go of the Millennial French tuck, no matter how much it dates me.
Came here to say: I am loving the new focus on Substack and that the Khaite bag is worth the price. I debated and pulled the trigger and it was my most loved bag all year. Cheers !
