It’s been over four months since my last beauty empties update. I try to wait long enough to have some good things to talk about but not too long (last time, it was what I used up over nearly a year, and that was… a lot!)
In four months, I emptied out nine products. Let’s discuss!
Skincare:
Eve Lom Foaming Cream Cleanser: This is a really nice, basic, gentle cleanser. I kept it in my shower. It’s great for dry skin and gets the skin clean without stripping.
Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream: You know I love this. It is included in every empties roundup! This is my absolute favorite moisturizer and my number one desert island beauty essential. . I have been using it since it first launched in 2018, and there is nothing better, at least for my skin type. You can read my longer review here.
INN Beauty Extreme Cream: This is the next best thing to Augustinus Bader! (This is saying a lot, especially given the $48 price point.) I like it a lot. It leaves skin super hydrated, glowy, and firm. It’s a luxury skincare product at a very good price. Use GRACE20 for 20% off $100 or more from INN Beauty.
MBR ContinueLine Protection Shield Soft. I was talked into buying this when I had a facial, and it is fine, but IMO, it is not worth the money. I prefer Bader. For what it’s worth, from this brand, I do really like the 3-in-one cleanser/mask and the enzyme cleanser.
Body:
Los Poblanos Lavender Body Wash: I bought this in Santa Fe (read about that trip here) last year and absolutely loved it. I also bought it for my mom, as lavender is one of her favorite fragrances. If you love lavender, it’s worth ordering—it will transform your shower into the lavender fields of Provence.
iota Brightening Body Wash: I like this body wash (but as I mentioned in my last empties post, I think that the brand makes a lot of crazy health claims). It’s a nice basic body wash that smells very good. They changed their packaging but I linked to the exact one.
Le Labo Hinoki Body Wash: I bought this after my trip to Santa Fe because it was the same body wash that our hotel (The Four Seasons) used, and I wanted to be reminded of the trip. I like it, but after a little while, I got tired of it. The fragrance is so strong! I let my boyfriend finish it off.
iota SuperMatcha Body Lotion: I love this. It has a gentle plant-based body retinol. I like how lightweight it is (not greasy at all), and I definitely noticed brighter skin on my legs and arms when I used it consistently. Would absolutely repurchase.
Sabon Body Scrub (White Tea): This was just a sample, but I loved it. Remember Sabon’s body scrubs? I really enjoy the combo of sea alt and oil—it sloughs off dead skin cells and then leaves skin insanely hydrated. I’ve noticed I can skip moisturizer afterward which is kind of nice.
Hi Grace! When do you use the INN Beauty moisturizer va The Rich Cream? You got me hooked on The Rich Cream (dry skin in Denver, a very dry place) and I’d love this alternative, too!
Hi Grace! May I ask if you prefer the Innbeauty to U Beauty the super hydrater ? I am hooked on the U Beauty regime, but it adds up 😂.
